Coordinating Global FOI Work - The Implant Files

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

The Implant Files documented huge flaws in the approval procedures for medical implants and other devices, using FOI. The journalists involved collected more than 8 million health records, related to these devices - recall notices, safety warnings, legal documents and corporate financial filings. ICIJ and its media partners submitted more than 1,500 requests for information to governments around the world. How do you use FOI tactically in an investigation like this? How do you keep track of the results and share between the countries?
